Andrew Laughland

Director

Andrew, started the company in 1998, and has worked within the architectural interior and design industry for over 30 years. He takes an active role in all aspects of the company, encouraging the unique progress of each project. More recently, he launched “The Snug”, an art driven home store with several retail outlets and and online trading platform. Andrew enjoys skiing, sailing, golf, and expedition trekking as well as searching for eclectic decorative objects for his home as well as his clients'. Andrew lives in Kent, with his wife Martine and sons Max and Oli.

Russell Jones

Design Director

With a degree in Architectural Interior Design, and over 10 years experience, Russell heads up the design team. He enjoys kite surfing, rock climbing and skiing. Russell is married to Kirsten and has two children, and a dog called Beau.

Ceri Hart

Architectural Interior Designer

Ceri graduated with a degree in Interior and Architectural Design in 2013 from Staffordshire University. She previously worked for 13 years at an Architectural practice. Ceri thrives on being creative and is an avid traveller and shoe collector.

Lauren Crossman

Architectural Interior Designer

Lauren previously worked for an interior architecture practice, before joining Laughland Jones. She loves travelling, having visited Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia and India.

Lucy Ashenden

Architectural Interior Designer

Lucy graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2010 with a degree in Furniture Product Design, and has since gained experience in the construction and architecture industry. Having completed a 2 year renovation project on a cottage in Hollingbourne, Lucy is now looking for her next property adventure!

Rosie Martin

Architectural Interior Designer

Rosie graduated from the University of Westminster achieving a 1st in Interior Architecture. When Rosie is not working, she is an avid painter. 

Ben Prince

Architect

Ben Prince RIBA, works with Laughland Jones to provide architectural support to the team. He set up an architectural practice after 12 years working in a renowned architectural business carrying RIBA chartered architect qualification. When Ben is not working, he loves nothing more than downhill cycling.

Matt Gisbey

Architect

Matt Gisbey RIBA works with Laughland Jones with Ben Prince. Matt qualified as an Architect in 2014 at the University of Brighton. Matt has previously worked at AJ100 top ten practice, gaining experience in conservation works, working for the Ministry of Justice and the Parliamentary Strategic Estates. He spends a lot of his free time on a bike, having conquered the Alps, the Dolomites and Pyrenses.

Rob Davis

Project Manager

With over 15 years experience in the furniture design industry, Rob has gained many skills in project management, logistics, warehousing, and furniture installation. Rob is a keen golfer and plays for his club in Limpsfield Chart. He enjoys days out with his family, the theatre, karaoke, poker and DIY.

Sarah Rogers

Purchasing & Logistics

Sarah graduated from Rochester University with a degree in Applied Arts. A qualified silversmith, she’s a country girl at heart. She loves walking her labrador, and is currently renovating her home in the Kent countryside.

Dan Head

Procurement Manager

Dan has been working at Laughland Jones for several years and takes a detailed approach to every project. Outside of the office he enjoys fishing and playing rugby for his local team, when not chasing after his two young children. 

Caroline Wilkinson

Business Development

Having grown up in Sweden, Caroline started her UK career in Mayfair’s nightlife industry. After a decade, she found passion in interiors and moved into procurement, since gaining extensive experience in the industry. Caroline is an avid baker and will take any opportunity to show off her skills. 

Laura Turner

Distribution Manager

Laura is the fabric distributor at Laughland Jones. In her spare time, Laura enjoys running and spending time with her family. 

Martine Laughland

Operations Manager

Martine previously worked as a sports TV producer and skiied for the England bump/moguls team. Married to Andrew, she advises the business on general strategy, taking her 2 sons ski race training for the winter season flitting between Pila in Italy and Tignes in France, leaving Andrew flailing behind.

Melody Small

Marketing Manager

With a background in digital marketing, Melody is heading up the marketing for Laughland Jones. Specialising in visual and written content, she has gained experience in advertising, social media, and art direction. In her free time, Melody enjoys finding new places to eat, and spending time with her pets, Maggie, Mollie, and Winston.

Giselle Stout

Marketing Assistant

Giselle is currently a third year Business student at the University of Bath, undertaking her placement as a Marketing Assistant. Away from her studies, Giselle enjoys travelling, kickboxing, and gardening, with the aim of growing her own vegetable patch. 

Adam Walsh

Finance Manager

Adam graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a degree in Accounting and Finance, and has since gained excessive experience in industry. Adam’s hobbies include golfing, spending time with his young family, and renovating his home.

Scott Swaden

Finance Assistant

Scott is working as a Finance Assistant, supporting the Finance Manager. In his spare time, he is studying towards his AAT Level 3 Qualification, and enjoys playing football.

Elle Jay

HQ Resident Dog

Elle Jay lives with the team at Laughland Jones HQ, but sneaks out to the Alps whenever she can. Watch this space for some photos of her adventures!

COMPANY HISTORY

1998

Andrew Laughland, from an interior design and furnishing fabric background, establishes Design Forum; a contract furnishing company supplying the ski tour operator market and UK retail with luxurious furnishing fabrics.

2002

Design Forum splits into two new sub divisions. One with a focus on supplying the interior design market with textile designs, and the other providing interior design to the Alpine market.

2006

The fabric company expands with several collections into export markets. The interior design company begins to offer architectural services to an expanding range of clientele.

2008

Russell Jones joins and Laughland Jones is formed, with the design team increasing in capacity and work.

2012

Projects become increasingly sophisticated and work evolves into the development of clients property. Both the office and warehouse premises' have now expanded.

2016

The team has now grown to 16, with as many projects being delivered annually.

2019

With a new focus on the UK market, the company completes several London projects. Laughland Jones continues to strengthen its established reputation within the Alpine market.

2021

Laughland Jones acquires a 5000 sqft office located in central Ashford, containing a showroom; a space where designers can showcase their work.
